Sauble can be incredibly busy on a hot summer Saturday

- try these easy shortcuts...... 

Coming from Owen Sound - when you get to the top of the hill in Shallow Lake, turn left onto

Joynt Street.  This street winds into Shouldice Block Road and once you cross Bruce Rd. 10 at

the 2nd stop sign, it becomes Silver Lake Road.  Keep going west until you reach Elsinore Road

and turn left.  Our lovely yellow farm cottage is on the left when you reach Maryville Lake Road.

If you missed the turn-off in Shallow Lake, keep going on Hwy 8 through the town of Hepworth,

turn left onto Allenford Rd and then right on to Silver Lake Road - continue as above.                                      

                        Are We There Yet????                                

Our farm cottage is at the intersection of Elsinore Road and Maryville Lake Road in Bruce County.  The main  roads to look for on the Ontario map are Grey-Bruce Line 10 to the east, Bruce Rd. 13 to the west, Bruce Rd. 8 to the north and Hwy 21 to the south.  Mapquest does not give the most direct route - check

the map before you set out.

Lakes.

If you're coming through Hanover, keep going straight on the newly-paved Grey-Bruce Line straight through Scone.  You will cross Hwy. 21, pass through Park Head and a couple of miles further on the left hand side, watch for the Silver Lake Road sign -the sign on the right will mark Shouldice Block Road.  Turn left onto Silver Lake Road until you reach Elsinore Road and turn left.  Four Lakes is at the next intersection at Maryville Lake Road on the left hand side.

If you're coming through Southampton, turn left onto County Road 13 once you're over the bridge.  Maryville Lake Road will be on your right and Elsinore Road is the first cross-road.  You're there!
