Now the Good Stuff
Check in is at 3 p.m. on Saturday
Check out is at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
There are good grocery stores in Sauble, Wiarton, Southampton and Owen Sound if you need to stock up when you arrive. There are also several good dining options in the area.
Our kitchen is outfitted to happily service 12 or more people. We have lots of cookware, serving-ware, bakeware as well as toaster, coffee-maker, kettle, microwave, electric mixer, and of course, outdoor barbeque. Sorry - no dishwasher - at the farm, we believe the best stories come out while you're drying dishes together!
Our beds are comfy and we provide comforters, blankets, pillows and kitchen linens - you will have to bring along your own bed linens and towels for personal and beach use. We have a washer and dryer at the farm cottage. If you're unable to bring your own linens, we can supply ours for an additional charge of $50.00.
We have folding chairs for you to take to the beach as well as lots of board games and books, a cd/i-pod player, vcr, dvd player and an enormous fireplace to curl up in front of, on rainy days.
Enjoy your morning coffee on our flagstone patio on the east side of the house. There is a large two-level deck on the west side to enjoy the afternoon sun and evening meals. Enjoy roasting marshmallows and s'mores at the firepit once the sun goes down. There is a large grassy area between the house and the barn which is ideal for friendly soccer matches and several marked trails to explore on our 236 acres. Did we mention that sunsets at the farm are spectacular as well?
There are lots of day-trip opportunities for sight-seeing, biking, hiking, golfing, museum and gallery visits, antique-hunting, and art classes at the Southampton Art School. And of course, there is the magnificent seven mile stretch of soft, sandy beach at Sauble, only minutes away.
Our farm cottage is a magical oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the beach - the songbirds, the ever-changing skies and the spectacular vistas through each of our many windows make for an unforgettable visit.
